My mom has told me that she looks at our blog on the off chance that we update it, well we never seem to have anything to post because who wants to hear about our boring day to day life. Then I thought we should liven up our lives so last night Chris and I went on a
Caribbean Cruise

We put on our flip flops and beach clothes and enjoyed taking a night off of our normal routine which consists of nothing. By the time Chris got home from work, Justine had dinner almost ready. She made some delicious lime pepper chicken with rice on the side. Chris brought in a Filipino accent by mixing some lime juice with soy sauce and eating the meal with his hands. He thought it was the most deliciously made chicken he has had since his mission, so tender and juicy with a good flavor to boot. Justine also made a couple delicious fruit smoothies making the dinner seem even more tropical, despite the rain and cold outside our apartment.
After dinner, we watched a video about the eastern Caribbean islands. It was interesting, at least for the first island talked about but then it became this rote thing and we decided not to watch much more. Justine took our dessert out of the fridge and made some carmelized sugar topping for it. Needless to say, you must make sure that creme brule is cooked all the way before taking it out of the oven and sugar burns very easily and doesn't taste very good when it is in such form. We will try to make it again someday I'm sure and learn from our mistakes.
Since that got boring faster than expected, we went and rented Amelia from red box. Let's just say we didn't think to much of the movie. The idea of the date night was great and it sure was fun to do something we don't normally do. We are going to do it again sometime soon only with a different location in mind. Anyone have any suggestions as to a fun place to "visit"?

  1. Perhaps you could visit Alaska - eat salmon, dress like eskimos, and convert your house to an igloo.

  2. Have you ever considered piracy? You'd make an excellent Dread Pirate Roberts.
