We even were given special treatment. They put our names on our room so we couldn't miss it!
We took a spin out on the lake/pond in a paddle boat, you know, the kind that you peddle around in. Well, turns out, spin is the appropriate word for the outing on the lake. The rudder controls were all messed up and all we could do was spin. We're lucky we're not still out there on the lake!
After spending a night in Midway, we went to the outlets in Park City to do a little birthday/anniversary shopping. Justine wanted me to get this outfit:
Of course, it looks a little on the, how should I say it, not straight side of the fence. Plus it cost over $100. A little pricey for something that looks like it was made by someone's grandma for a Christmas present. No offense to anyone who gives those kinds of gifts either!
We decided to buy a pair of similar soft shell jackets from Columbia. Here's a picture of Chris'.
So with that, we move into our birthday celebration for Chris. No one really knew what to get Chris, but he was really happy with what he did get. The one thing that he really wanted was a DVD of the Gummi Bears seasons. If you don't remember the Gummi Bears from Disney as a kid, you need to research them and revisit your childhood. Chris got the first 3 seasons on DVD and loves them! We watch them regularly now.Something that Chris got that he really needed was a new sleeping pad for when we go camping. He got two. Look how happy he is about it too!
Lastly, we cannot forget that with the first anniversary comes the traditional eating of the top layer of the wedding cake. Ours has been taking up our freezer space for a whole year now and has really been limiting the amount of cheap ice cream we can buy when it goes on sale. All that has changed now. Here's to many more happy and prosperous years!
Congratulations! and happy birthday, Chris. I must ask, How was the cske? We ate our cake top too, well, I ate it. Sammy didn't trust it, but I thought it was good. Thank goodness for Press and Seal Wrap.
