Also last week when Chris' family was here we decided to see more of the exciting places Omaha has to offer. We found a really cool pedestrian bridge over the Missouri River and decided to take a look.
Along the river there is, usually, a path right near the edge that you can walk on, as well as statue and fountains to look at. Although at this point the river is the highest its been in fifty years, but being on the bridge with the water running fast was an awesome sensation. As we were walking along the bridge you could feel the whole bridge sway as the water hit the pillars that are holding the bridge up as well as when the wind blew.
As most people know the border between Nebraska and Iowa, as well as many other states is the Missouri River. In the middle of this bridge you cross the border in to Iowa.
Look, I'm in two places at once!
Last Saturday, before Chris' family left we decided to go and see the Joslyn Art Museum.
It was amazing to see all of the pieces of art and the talent that these artists had. As I was looking at each of the paintings and such I imagined all of the effort it takes to create something like that. All of many different brushstrokes it takes to make something to grand and wonderful.
One of my favorite pieces that I saw was this dancing girl. I thought it was very creative to integrate the fabric of the bow as well as the tutu with the statue.
Then we had to say goodbye to Chris' family. We appreciate all that they have done for us. They helped out so much.
